Our love is my favourite bake, the perfect recipe.
Like the warming smell of bread, you feel like home to me.
As sweet as Raspberry Jam, embraced in a sponge cake.
Wholesome like a Blueberry muffin, memories in every taste.
The gooey centre of a cookie, especially when homemade.
Adding extra chocolate chips, real love cannot be weighed.
We’re cream & jam on a scone, enjoyed together with tea.
Deciding which should go first... we agree to disagree.
A comforting, buttery pastry, supporting the rest of a pie.
Splitting different flavours, always giving you mine to try.
From weighing the ingredients and learning as we go,
Combining parts of our lives, to make the perfect dough.
Turning on the oven, patiently baking over time,
Enjoying the end result, your life joined with mine.
