Hardwick Hall Hotel, wedding ceremony set up overlooking the lake.

Let's rewind back to a gorgeous summer day at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield. It was July 2024, and the sun was shining with views overlooking the vast lake, ready for an outdoor celebrant ceremony and marquee reception for a fantastic couple.

Excitement was in the air as Pam and Mark's family and friends arrived to celebrate their 21 years of marriage, and trust me... this group knew how to throw a celebration!

Mark and his groomsmen made a memorable entrance once their guests had taken their seats. They arrived in an Only Fools and Horses car with the theme tune on full blast, a hilarious and unique moment. Watching them drive over the hill was such a brilliant sight!

Mark and Pam then made their grand entrance together and were given a warm welcome by their friends and family, wearing a gorgeous black ball gown and dusty pink suit.

Within their bespoke vow renewal ceremony, we spoke about the ingredients for a successful marriage (a nod to Pam's love for baking), sharing their story from meet cute to now and the journey they've been on together so far!

We reminisced about celebrations they've hosted over the years, playfully teasing some of their guests and ensuring everyone had a good laugh along the way!

With an added reading 'Sooner or later we begin to understand what love is', given by loved one, it really was the perfect picture of love and belly laughter.

It was time for a family moment. We invited their children up to the front to take part in a family sand ceremony. With 6 jars of sand displayed in Mark's handmade stand, each family member was represented by a different colour and were instructed to pour these into a personalised 'Wright family' jar, symbolising their unbreakable family bond. To conclude the ritual, their daughter shared a heartfelt reading she had written about her parents and the love they share. A very emotional moment which was read beautifully.

It was nearly time to party into the warm summer evening! After exchanging their "I do's" for the second time in their lives, they signed a decorative certificate to commemorate their renewed commitment to each other.

However, the fun wasn't over yet; it was time to complete the ceremony with a fantastic speech by a cherished family friend!

As they were reintroduced as husband and wife by their close friend, they made their way to the marquee as their guests applauded. The best way to begin the rest of their fabulous day!

Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Wright xx
